Studio 10 Team

Holley Sinn

Holley's FAQs:

Family?:  Why yes!  One hubby, two adorable children...err...cats.  My cats are my children.

Where'd you come from?:  The Big D!  I'm from the Dallas area, but spent a lot of time in Oklahoma growing up, including my stint at The University of Oklahoma where I received my B.A. in Broadcast Journalism.

Where else have you worked?:  Started out in Dallas at Texas Cable News as an associate producer, then moved over to The Villages, Florida where I was a sports anchor/reporter.  Followed that up with a year or so at Home Shopping Network, then scooted over here to WTSP!

Most memorable career moments:  Watching a polo field be transformed into a football stadium for The Villages Gridiron Classic Collegiate All-Star Game, meeting the great Arnold Palmer for the first time, searching for my composure over our first Studio 10 visit from "Indigo Girls" and totally nerding out over both Colin Hay and Richard Marx.  Oh...and the dog-riding cowboy monkeys.  I mean seriously, there is nothing cuter.

Interests?:  Movies!  That's why I became a Film Critic - I LOVE movies.  I also love writing about them.  You can find my reviews on Studio 10 every Friday and also on www.studio10.tv.  I enjoy running (2 half-marathons under my belt!  Woohoo!), playing piano, reading, cooking, dancing (which I do mostly by myself.  No one should have to see that.) and sewing!  For those who've heard the rumors, yes, I make a lot of my own clothes.  I also love consignment shopping...you would never believe how much of my wardrobe is used.  I love clothing with a story.

Likes and dislikes?:  I LOVE Mexican food.  I don't like bean sprouts.  I LOVE red but am not too partial to orange.  I love pop, classical, folk and club music but am not all that partial to country.  ( I know - what kind of Texas girl am I??)  I pick pie over cake 9 times out of 10, and I would rather eat a jar full of beets or a whole tomato than candy.  And, like a true Parrothead, I don't mind a margarita or two.

Favorite bay area locations?:  Anything on Beach Drive in Downtown St. Pete - particularly Cassis American Brasserie and Hooker Tea Company.  Misred Outfitters for vintage fashion.  La France in Ybor.  Ciccio's California Cuisine.  The Living Room in Dunedin (AMAZING tapas).  Anthropologie.  Goodwill.  The Shop.  Stone Soup Cafe and Pub.  Beak's Old Florida.  Yoga Etc.  The Pinellas Trail.  The Florida Aquarium.  Tampa Theatre.  Ella's in Tampa Heights.  Tampa Museum of Art.

Anything else?:  Jerome and I really are friends.  He's the best, and everyday is much more entertaining because I get to sit next to him.  He keeps me on my toes, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
