According to the 2011 DuPont Automotive Color Popularity Report, white and pearl-white are the top vehicle colors with silver and black trailing right behind.
Experts say the reasons for white (and pearl-white) topping the charts is the fact that it brings a clean and luxurious look to vehicle design. Previously, black was synonymous with luxury and now, white has taken its place as the opulent color.
