- If renting an apartment, be clear with your landlord about your expectations of him
- Know what you're responsible for, like painting the apartment back to its original color
- Smaller spaces mean more chance for clutter, so bring essentials and store the rest
- Enter into an agreement with your roommates as to which chores are non-negotiable
