Make your resume stand out
- Provide information in your resume to let the employer know you meet their requirements
- Describe each past employer in a line or two and the division you worked for
- Quantify the number of people you supervised, the amount of money you were responsible for, and the number of accounts you serviced
Know where to look
- Job boards on the Internet are a good place to start but not enough
- Be proactive in your search
- Find companies that are financially stable, and want employees with your particular education and experience
- Job openings are not always advertised so circulate resumes and listen to word of mouth
Be prepared for the interview
- Find out as much as possible about the company in advance
- Be prepared for questions on job history, gaps in your career, and vague questions
- Practice, practice, practice!
