"Destination Truth" host Josh Gates, is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with Syfy and the spring premiere of reality hit Destination Truth! World traveler and intrepid explorer Josh Gates returns to host six all-new episodes, kicking off with an adventure in Ireland as the team heads out in search of the legendary leprechaun.
From there, Josh and crew will travel to the U.S., Jordan, Israel, China, New Zealand and Chile, seeking answers to the world's greatest mysteries and myths. The new episodes will also feature guest investigators Kris Williams (Ghost Hunters) and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13).
Originally from the small town of Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, Josh is graduate of Tufts University in Boston, where he holds a degree in Archaeology and Drama. His work and travels have taken him to more than 50 countries around the world.
An avid SCUBA diver, Josh has assisted in sub-sea archaeological excavations off the coast of Israel, and as a photographer he’s traveled to remote villages in Bangladesh and Nepal. Recently, Josh climbed to the roof of Africa on Mt. Kilimanjaro and climbed on Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Americas. From the far East to the wild West, Josh is passionate about photographing the unique places he visits and the diverse people he meets along the way. Josh currently lives in Los Angeles.
