Donatello's Serves up a Boost to Tampa Theatre!
Il Carnevale di Venezia (The Venetian Carnival)
Donatello Italian Restaurant will transform into a Venetian Carnival in celebration of Fat Tuesday. Just as Venetians have done for centuries, Donatello will recreate the lively festival held every year in the Piazza San Marco in Venice, Italy. Belly Dancers and magicians will perform and guests will have the chance to listen to live music while enjoying the authentic Italian cuisine offered by Donatello's Chef Luciano Visentin. Guests are encouraged to wear costume or mask.
When: Tuesday, Feb. 16, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Tampa Theatre members are invited to Donatello for an exclusive jewelry event featuring Donatello cuisine and Italian Prosecco. FETTUCCINE AL GRANCHIO

4 Tbs. extra virgin olive oil
2 Garlic cloves sliced
Pinch medium chili flakes
2 Tbs. White wine
1 8 oz. can plum tomatoes
1 Tbs. loosely chopped fresh basil
1 Tsp. chopped flat leaf Parsley
10 oz. Jumbo lump crab meat
12 oz fresh fettuccine, cooked Al Dente
Heat oil in pan over medium high heat. Add garlic, cook until golden brown.
Add crab meat and white wine, reduce for 2 minutes. Add tomatoes until desired
consistency, approximately 5 minutes. Add chili flakes and salt to taste. Add basil and parsley and remove from heat.
Cook fettuccine Al Dente in salted boiling water (cooking time will vary depending on brand of pasta).
Strain and add pasta to sauce. Toss and serve for two with your favorite Pinot Grigio.
