"Dancing for Dreams"

On Saturday, March 20, the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Palm Harbor will host a Dancing for Dreams Dance Marathon to benefit Give Kids the World. This event is part of a national dance marathon that will raise funds to bring hope to children with life-threatening illnesses.

Give Kids The World is a non-profit organization that exists to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the Central Florida attractions, and to enjoy the magic of Give Kids The World Village. The Village is a 70-acre resort complete with over 140 Villa accommodations, entertainment attractions, whimsical venues, and fun specifically designed for children with special needs.

The Dancing for Dreams Marathon takes place Saturday, March 20 from 7:00 - 10:00 PM at Arthur Murray Dance Center of Palm Harbor, located in the Fountains Plaza at 34930 US Highway 19 North and online at www.arthurmurraypalmharbor.com. The evening will feature live entertainment, an exciting Dancing with the Stars Competition (see below for celebrities taking part), the Dance Marathon, refreshments, and lots of FUN! Many local businesses are joining in to support Dancing for Dreams. Tiffany's, Chili's, Moe's, and McDonald's are providing free refreshments. Raffle prizes have been provided from Palm Harbor Dermatology, Salon Italia, Pssghetti's, Cody's Roadhouse Grill, to name but a few.

Local celebrities taking part in the Dancing with the Stars competition include Nikki Cruz, local radio personality; Tim Pilson, Training Fire Chief; Connie Davis, President of the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce and Rick Burton, Palm Harbor Parks & Recreation.
