The program is designed to allow homeowners 62 and older to use the equity in our homes to live comfortably in them forever without a monthly financial burden. There is never a monthly payment. Money used, plus interest, is repaid ONLY when we are no longer living in the home. As long as we keep our homeowners insurance and property tax paid the program guarantees that we remain on the title. The bank will not own our home.
We can have the bank pay us instead of us paying the bank. We can use our home to stay at home. We can also leave our children in a better financial position when we pass.
