About Eric Clinger

Songwriting is his passion - entertaining is his gift - and every opportunity that he gets to do either one is an opportunity not taken for granted. His songs are like his personality... honest, straight-forward and inviting. Sometimes funny and sometimes sad, but always relevant. Whether the song is about addiction, love, loss, sunshine, rain, beer or just workin' hard to make a livin', he has the ability to take what others feel and put those feelings in a song.

"I just write what I feel, even when I don't even know why I'm feeling it at the time. I put a little music behind the words and hope it reaches somebody, somewhere. But it's such a cool feeling when I get the chance to sing a song for a crowd, and I look out to see a tear rolling down an ol' boy's cheek, or a young lady comes up to me after a show and gives me a big ol' hug and says 'thank you for 'that' song.' There's no greater feeling in the world than knowing something I dreamed up in this crazy head of mine actually touched somebody that I've never even met."

In 2006 Eric Clinger formed and fronted a band called "Hazzard Kounty" and performed throughout the south-east. The years spent with "Hazzard Kounty" gave Eric the chance to hone his craft of entertaining a crowd through song and humor. From crowds of 10 to crowds of 3,000, he's had the privilege of sharing stages with some of the best musicians in Country music to include Blake Shelton, Darryl Worley, Rodney Atkins and Earl Thomas Conley.

Now in 2010, Eric Clinger and "The Hazzard Kounty Band" are still performing together at bars, private functions, fairs and festivals. The high-energy live performance that Eric Clinger and "The Hazzard Kounty Band" put on is not something that can be rehearsed. Their on-stage charisma and unity is something so special that is only accomplished when fellow musicians become more than just co-workers - they become close friends. If this band is near your town for a show, find a babysitter, call in sick and dig in the couch cushions for some gas money, because you will not want to miss it!
