Let's face it nobody wants to be spending their time emptying vacuum bags, dusting overheard fixtures, scrubbing the floors, or heaven forbid...cleaning the dreaded toilet bowl.

But then spring comes along, the time where we start to notice the dust bunnies and the cobwebs, the piles of papers and the overstuffed closets. We throw open the windows (noting that you can barely see through the grime on the glass) and vow to clean up the mess! Don't throw in the towel yet-even after round one with the grubby tile grout, you can still power through.  HGTV's Kelly Edwards is here with some simple tips and strategies to help get those dirty jobs done quickly and painlessly!

HGTV network's star of "Design on a Dime" Kelly Edwards is known for her design and organizing tips, cleaning strategies, and total home makeover transformations. Kelly also serves as co-host and design coordinator for the Style Network's newest show "Tacky House". Kelly has been seen on The Tyra Banks Show as well as local morning shows across the country. Spring Cleaning 101
-Dry before you wet
-Start by dusting then make sure to vacuum before you mop down a surface
 -Vacuuming also helps to eliminate household odors
-Break down big jobs into small chunks
-Set time limits for each job
-Make sure to reorganize
 -Straighten out drawers, clean closets, test battery operated devices
-Work clockwise in every room
 - Repeat the same cleaning pattern from room to room
