The business industry is competitive and with the lack of jobs available today, many Americans may consider becoming an independent business owner. But, being a successful entrepreneur requires a unique skill set including leadership, determination and commitment. Interestingly, when the nation's military heroes return from overseas, they posses an entrepreneurial spirit, which includes those skills that helps lead them to success as a business owner.

 Season two winner of the hit TV show "The Apprentice," a pioneer of the digital space and a successful CEO of a number of startups including Rotohog.com, as well as a former military veteran, Kelly Perdew, shares his best advice for starting a business or making a successful transition from the military to civilian life.

After winning Season 2 of the hit show, "The Apprentice," Kelly Perdew served as an Executive Vice President in the Trump Organization in New York, where he managed several real estate projects, the Trump Ice bottled water brand and worked directly for Donald Trump for the year following the show.
