Plain old New Year's resolutions are so last year - In this "social media" world, its seems many of our lives are lived more online than off, making 2012 the year for everyone to have social media resolutions. An end of year survey fielded by Harris Interactive found that 63 percent of social networking users have a social media resolutions and findings show that concerns of privacy and "over sharing" make it important now more than ever before to stay in control of your online lives - a task that's increasingly confusing and intimidating with the fast-changing social media landscape.

Janina Gavankar knows what its like to live in the public eye...As an actress it seems as though she shares her life with the world...From simple status updates to vacation pictures, Janina experienced "the information overload" many of us experienced in 2011 first-hand. 

Janina's fans know her best as Luna, Sam's love interest on True Blood, but Janina also exemplifies the importance Young Hollywood puts on social media.  Janina was the first celebrity to sign up for Twitter and she created a theme for actors on Posterous, a website meant to help people share their online presence.  So far, thousands of fellow actors are using her site, which Janina believes is integral to helping their career by giving them a place to display their past work.

About the survey: The Harris Interactive Surveys were commissioned by Posterous in October 2011 and December 2011.  Each survey polled over 2,000  U.S. social network users ages 18 and over.
