Help HomeAid Tampa Bay

Video:Lending a helping hand
As we work toward improving the lives of our community's homeless, it has become a daily challenge to set apart the public's view of the homeless as panhandlers from the suddenly homeless families/individuals who continually work towards self-sufficiencies. ".  Join us as we take the lead to end this stereotype through an educational experience, leading to a new found respect for those individuals and families that make up more than 80% of our community's homeless population.

HomeAid Tampa Bay has partnered with Johnny Vitale of Vitale Art Studio (a leader in the 600 Block Art Movement), and the "Give Back Girls" (organized by two special young ladies, Halee Moore and Savannah Broome). HomeAid Tampa Bay, with the support of  Vitale Art Studio and the "Give Back Girls" is excited to announce our new campaign, "Home, Where the Art Is"

"Home, Where the Art Is" is a peer-to-peer  teaching opportunity,  using  art to symbolize a young person's  new found understanding and compassion for those who do not have a home.  Artists ranging from 5-15 are invited to participate, learn, and contribute in "Design Day," September 11, 2010. Our community partners, families, and friends  will celebrate along with us as we recognize the works of our young artists during a "VIP Gallery Premier," September 24, 2010 and "Family Gallery Premier," September 25, 2010. After the exhibit showing in the Vitale Art Studio, HomeAid Tampa Bay will create a traveling exhibit, appearing in public venues such as shopping malls and local schools across the bay, sharing the talents of our artists with others throughout Tampa Bay for an entire year!
