The Studio@620 presents the Florida primere of Daniel Talbott's controversial drama about teen gay bullying, SLIPPING. Alone, numb and friendless after the violent death of his father and being dumped by his abusive boyfriend, openly gay high school senior Eli moves with his mom from San Francisco for a fresh start in Iowa. A possible relationship with a boy named Jake at school exposes Eli again to the possibility of closeness and the danger of being swallowed by it.

"We are very proud to be the first local theatre to produce this very important play for Tampa Bay area audiences," said Bob Devin Jones, the production's director. "Along with seven performances followed by talkbacks, the Studio@620 is also hosting a Social Justice Roundtable on Feb. 14 to discuss the teen bullying epidemic."
