How many memories from your life surround riding in a car? Maybe your most vivid memory is from your first chance behind the wheel as a teenager? Or maybe it's from when you tried to help dad wash the car on a hot summer day and got all full of soap in the process? No matter how we look at it, we all have a story to tell related to driving, and Chevrolet wanted to celebrate its big birthday by telling its story from the years on the road through the eyes of owners, dealers and their communities.
The story of a century of service will celebrated by way of an interactive website that will allow owners to "pin" their stories by location. The site called "The Road We're On," will open to the area of Bridgeville, PA the home of the Colussy, one of the oldest Chevrolet dealers in the country. It will then allow consumers to sit virtually behind the wheel taking them through their own life story which they can share on Facebook if they chose. In addition, visitors will be able view some of the first models dating back to 1911 when the first Series C Classic Six was built in small town Detroit by race car driver and engineer Louis Chevrolet.
