Video: A debut novel from a "rising" author
Rising Sunsets is released by author D.H. Cermeņo
Sometimes life brings big opportunities in small packages. That's what happens to David Fletcher, a bright and ambitious man awaiting his destiny, when a battered manila envelope appears on his desk. Fletcher escapes from his father's disapproval in his chosen career and travels to Japan to teach English to schoolchildren. His experiences half a world away allow him to discover his true self and gain confidence.
Rising Sunsets follows Fletcher's journey as he explores the customs and traditions of his new home, building on the fascination he has had with Asia for years. He stumbles along the way - experiencing language and cultural barriers and having issues with his new boss - but neglected video equipment brings him a chance to shine and to show his new colleagues he is the right man for the job. As he immerses himself in his new role, he finds himself drawn to an exotic beauty who will lead him to his biggest role of all.
Author D.H. Cermeņo worked as an English teacher for a year in Japan after graduating from Loyola University in New Orleans. He earned an MBA from Crummer Graduate School at Rollins College and is a database marketing manager in the hospitality industry.
