Think about it - - your father, Bobby, won the Indianapolis 500 and three (3) IndyCar championships as a driver, won the Indianapolis 500 as a team owner, and is widely recognized as an extremely successful businessman. Needless to say, the bar has been set extremely high. Yet exceeding expectations is exactly what Graham Rahal has done and continues to do - - and he does it with a mature, calm, methodical style that is well beyond his age (19 years old).
How does Graham answer the bell? He wins his IndyCar Series debut and in the process becomes the youngest race winner in the history of major open-wheel racing. This accomplishment is one in a long line for Graham and his young professional racing career. For Graham though, it is not only about the on-track success, it is the way he goes about it and the way he carries himself. While climbing the racing ladder, Graham remained dedicated to his education. Despite missing more than 50 days of school his senior year because of racing, Graham graduated from high school with a 3.8 GPA.
