Badge Bowl 2009

About Badge Bowl 2009
Can Tampa Fire Rescue?s ?Firestorm? handcuff the offense and take back the coveted title of Badge Bowl champions? The Tampa Police ?Gladiators? are looking to win that title for the 2nd year in a row, all for a good cause. Pediatric cancer is the number one killing disease of our children. The mission of this event is to raise awareness on the issues related to pediatric cancer and to raise money for this cause. Half of the money raised will benefit Avery Ralston and his family. Avery is a 5-year-old boy who continues to amaze us with his strength to fight cancer. He was diagnosed on January 24, 2008 with acute lymphocytic leukemia. The remainder of the proceeds benefits the work of 1Voice and the Foundation of Courage.

Last year?s event raised over $33,000. The recipient was Angelo Cerchione, a 7-year-old with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. For more information and Badge Bowl history, visit www.BadgeBowl.com.
